About

Hi! I’m Drew D’Agostino. This is my thinking space.
“So what do you do?”
We all love answering that question, don’t we? Do I call myself a noun or a verb? “I’m a _____er”, or “I ____”?
But no matter how you answer that question, you limit yourself to your specific tasks, and I still don’t really know who you are. Someone that paints is a lot different from someone that paints.
That question shouldn’t be “What do you do?” but “Why do you do it?”
You can find out a lot more about a person with that. So why do I do these things? I think we’re at an amazing, unique point in history where we have some tremendously amazing technology that most of the world’s population doesn’t yet benefit from. There is a huge gap between technology and real everyday problems. Remarkable products can bridge the gap. That’s why I do what I do.
To create products that solve such problems, I’m learning to be scrappy, be humble, and never stop learning.
My goal with this particular blog is to bring together a community of people who are relentlessly motivated to create things.
Right now, I’m getting ready to head to Cameroon, Africa to help Jola Venture launch a brand new product that helps rural farmers bring 100% more of their food to market with better preservation technology. I’ll be writing as that unfolds.
I enjoy songwriting, 90’s hip hop, adventures, late-night coding to classical music, endorphins, and warm homemade cookies with milk.
